Chef Godwin Ihentuge Jr. is a Detroit-born Nigerian-American chef, entrepreneur, and community advocate whose work sits at the intersection of food, culture, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity. He is the founder and chef behind YumVillage, an Afro-Caribbean food company
His journey as an entrepreneur shaped his belief that food can be much more than a meal, it can be a pathway to confidence, creativity, ownership, and economic mobility. Chef Godwin is passionate about helping young people understand both the creativity and discipline required to turn an idea into something sustainable. Whether through food, mentorship, entrepreneurship, or community development, his goal is simple: help young people recognize the value of their ideas, their culture, and their ability to create opportunities for themselves and others.
Godwin earned a business degree from Wayne State University.
