Cydnei Walker

Program Associate

Cydnei is an educator and sustainability professional. As an adult, she strives to uphold sustainable food practices in her day-to-day life so that future generations can enjoy the dishes she cherishes most. Cydnei found herself in the sustainable food sector by chance, after accepting a role with FoodCorps. Growing up in the southeastern United States, Cydnei developed a deep respect and appreciation for the ways in which food and culture overlap.

Her experience includes serving with FoodCorps, a hands-on teaching role in the Detroit Public School system, and community outreach with Michigan State University’s 4-H Extension Program.  In addition to her background in education and sustainability, Cydnei is an accomplished playwright and world traveler.

She is a proud graduate of Thomas Edison State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Cydnei is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems at Arizona State University.
